We had a field of 8 but one of the players didnt turn up. SO we decided to play on with a bye each round. After much toing and froing a guideline emerged on how to handle this.
Problem 1: It didnt really work to well for such a small field and anyone with a bye was either greatly advantaged or greatly disadvantaged depending on thier field placement.
Problem 2: Becuase I like to play 4 games in a tourney it screws up picking the winner and in the end we had a 3 way tie with 2 players getting 3 wins due to the bye and 1 on 3 straight wins. Strength of schedule is a bitch to work out if one of the players is a bye. SO we got those guys to play another game and worked it out from there.
So placings were as follows
1st Place: was Ado. He took a colossal which really screws with the man of the match award but what can you do.
Phat controller: for the most control points was Eddie. Cryx just wont die or at least have the decency to stay in the ground.
Best Painted: Aris. We decided to let the painting rules slip this tourney and there were only 3 fully painted armies. The votes were very close but I managed to bribe the organisers.
Assasin: Fastest caster kill. Jay managed this in two turns I think it was 26 minutes. 18 minutes is the record so far.
Man of the Match: Kort won this with his storm wall. 198 boxes. he took near 100 of them agains my pirates.
Genicide: Matt-Man tyook this out. This is awarded for the most army points killed during the tourney. Stinking Behemoth
We also award a reroll coin to the person who came last and this time it was awarded to Allan. These coins were never meant to go to people like Ado and Eddie who both ended up with them they were supposed to be used on the plebs and be passed around.
