Ogrebane's Omnium-Gatherum Part 7

Well Ive finished with the green stuff. So I gave it a quick undercoat and am ready to paint.

Also I had some spare green stuff so I did a few flames I'll add to the base later.

Next up is paint. I use a purple skin tone with flesh coloring around high points. I will also try a bit of OSL with this one.

Cheers

Ogrebane's Omnium-Gatherum Part 6

Continuing with my Pyre Troll.

I have made a bit of progres with the Troll. Here are a few pics for you to look at

So from this shot he is breathing fire as well as holding two fire balls. His hair is fire, inspired by hades from the disney cartoon. In the next shot you can see his back is covered in fire.

This last shot you can see a better shot of his back. You may also notice the past where the skirt and the leg need some work.

Once Ive done that I will undercoat and paint his guy. Im thinking that this guy will be standing on a rock in a lava pool.

Results for first Tourney of 2014

April 2014 Tourney

Results from First tourney of 2014

So our first tourney for 2014 has been run and won. We are playing a modified verion of Iron Gauntlet. So 2 armies at 25 pts and they can be from different factions. The rest of the rules are on the tourney page.

These are the results. As we were playing 25pts and only six players we decided to just play each other. So we each played 5 games apiece.

So strength of schedule was out the window for count backs. It was an interesting result as we had 3 players on 4 wins and Kort was actually on 4 wins and a draw.
So by 2012 rules he probably would have won the tourney. By count though back Eddie won the game against Kort so he ended with 4 wins.

I think it was 3 count backs for Parfiet to be given the overall win as both eddie and Jay had the same kill points and control points.

I had a great day and the results dont reflect how some of the games actually went. The game against Foster and Parfiet was down to Both thier casters and maybe a solo on Parfiets side and was won by a late game caster kill. Nathan had 4 control points and just needed to hang on till the end of the turn to win.

I'll do a break down of the other trophy wins at the end of the table.

So second term starts, which means any non locked factions that were used in first term wont get paint points unless a new mini is painted and used. Good luck all.

And the winners are...

1st place:    Parfiet with 4 wins 128 kill points and 8 control points

Best Painted:    Courtney. He only took menoth so it was voted as one army but it looks the business. Should get him to post a pic.

Man of the Match   Eddie. The total of both his MOTM was good but he could have won it with just Axiom which did 199 boxes of damage.

Assasin: (Fastest Caster Kill)    Eddie again. We usually only give one trophy per player but as noone else posted a time and Eddies was pretty quick with 29min 25sec we gave the award to him

Genocide:   Ado. Thi one is for the highest army points destroyed. I think Ado still likes to play Warhammer style destroy the other guys army.

Phat Controller:    Foster. As the name states the one with the most control points. I'm a bit worried that one day Nathan will get enough games to nutout whats going on cause he gives a good game.

Im looking forward to 35 points. I think the trolls suffer from not enough support staff at low points and I hope to see them come to the for this round. If your interested in getting involved drop one of us a line and join in. We usually play one weekend a month so there is plenty of opportunity of getting a game is as well as Warmachine Wednesday which should be at Under the stairs now that Battle stations is closed. Cheers all
